Declan has directed some of the top rated shows on Irish Television including the critically acclaimed PURE MULE (RTE) winner of 5 IFTA’s including Best Director; Best Drama IFTA winner THE RUNNING MATE (TG4), and SCÚP (TG4/BBC) Nominated best Irish Language IFTA. His debut feature film, EDEN, was the closing film at 2008 Jameson Dublin International Film Festival and had its North American premier at TRIBECA, it was released theatrically in the US in late 2008 to critical acclaim and was a New York Times “critics pick”. His film THE TRUTH COMMISIONER (2016) was nominated for Best Drama at the 2016 Celtic Media Awards.  Also in 2016 THE FLAG was released in cinemas and was the number one film screened on Irish TV on Christmas Day that year. Recent TV credits include episodes of DEATH IN PARADISE and NOVA JONES  for BBC STUDIOS and RED ELECTION (Mopar Studios/Viaplay/A+E) now available on Disney+. His latest Feature Film TARRAC premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2022 and will be released in the coming months.
